Abstract :
Summary form only given Non-linear GMR element R(H) transfer curves, have been observed for some time. These non-linearities are caused by the GMR element jumping between two discrete amplitude states when specific magnetic fields are applied. It is shown that non-linearities in GMR transfer curves are a result of high frequency noise which appears at specific applied fields. Variations in switching frequency in combination with hardware bandwidth limitations cause it to have different appearances.
