Abstract :
In order to speedup fractal block coding, a rapid matching strategy based on matching in Range Block´s Neighborhood is suggested in this paper. In order to guarantee the quality of decoding image, it is suggested that non-matching block should be coded by block truncation coding. In this paper, smooth block is coded by average coding. This coding method adopts three-level quad-tree coding scheme. Because of these strategies, the compression performance of this method is excellent
