Abstract
A load dependent current-mode dead-times controller based on minimized duty cycle technique for DC-DC synchronous buck converters is proposed to achieve near-optimum dead times. This dead-times controller can dynamically adjust the dead times according to the variations of load. Experimental results demonstrate the validity of proposed circuit and power efficiency is raised about 1-5%. The chip size is 3.2 mm2 in 0.35 mum CMOS process.
