Abstract
The authors present the optimal linear-quadratic array processor for detection without the Gaussian assumption. For this purpose, a knowledge of the statistical properties of the noise up to the fourth order is needed. Using an appropriate scalar product, the optimal array is calculated and its performance discussed in a current and practical case of non-Gaussian jammers and fourth-order white noise
