  • Abstract
The study of the time effect of data plays a very important role in the real world of data processing. With the ever increasing data accumulation, it is vital to determine a time frame in which the collected data remains meaningful and valid. Without such study and action, much of the vast data source will create confusion, which can result in the data totally unusable. This paper offers a comprehensive discussion on the topic of determining the time frame which the collected data remains meaningful. Examples of applying the results from this study to increase the efficiency in public transport and monitoring the production process are given in the paper.
