            Abstract :
The hybrid load balancer allows all the processors in a multicomputer to cooperate on the solution of a single problem. The major features are its dual modes of operation that allow it to adapt to changing system loads and a completely distributed mechanism for deciding which mode should be used. The hybrid load balancer enables Common Lisp programs to be run in parallel with appreciable speedups, as demonstrated
