Abstract :
In this paper, a low complexity iterative multiuser receiver is analyzed for a turbo-coded CDMA system. The receiver includes a soft multiuser detector and the decoders for users. The simulation considers an uplink asynchronous transmission over a correlated frequency selective fading channel. The results obtained show that the performance of the receiver approaches the single user performance after only two iterations. Compared with the two-stages/decoder scheme, the performance of iterative multiuser receivers is improved significantly. This improvement illustrates the effect of combined decoding and interference cancellation instead of the separate approach. However, this gain is the trade-off for the complexity of a turbo decoder.
