Abstract :
In this paper, we consider transmitter adaptation in DS-CDMA systems. We propose a sequence selection scheme for reducing the multiple access interference (MAI). In this proposed scheme, each user is given an orthogonal sequence set with size M, {ak,1, ...,ak,M}, and can choose a sequence from his/her sequence set for better signal reception. We show that merely with two sequences in the sequence set, users can significantly reduce MAI. Simulations show that with a larger sequence set, users would have significantly improved performance against MAI.
