Abstract :
As a new wireless network access technology, WiMAX can provide broadband Internet connection to user. However, the standards do not mention how to allocate bandwidth to different applications and how to improve the performance of the whole network. In this paper, a Time Division Duplexing based bandwidth requesting and allocating model had been proposed to analyze the work process of bandwidth requesting and allocation of WiMAX PMP mode. Meanwhile, different connection probabilities had been applied to bandwidth request collecting process. The analysis and simulation results reveal the relationship between the number of bandwidth and blocking probability of different service flows.
