Abstract
The present paper concerns the transmission spectra of gases evolved during the reaction of Briggs-Rauscher in the infrared range. It shows the amplitude change of the transmission minima, which in turn indicates a change in the concentration of the gases released during the reaction. The transmission spectra of a reaction medium control (unirradiated) and when exposed to electromagnetic radiation at a frequency characteristic of the oxygen absorption line spectrum 129 GHz, are compared.
