  • Abstract
The purpose of this project is to design a system for wound irrigation during trauma situations. The wound irrigation system is designed to interface with standard irrigation solution containers. An irrigation system is needed in order to prevent the risk of infection by driving bacteria out of the wound. The design will be verified and validated once manufactured. The major requirement is that the irrigation system can be used to irrigate several types of wounds and generates a pressure of 8 to 12 psi.
