Abstract
Integrated transmission-line filters were previously proposed to attenuate conducted electro-magnetic interference (EMI) produced by high-frequency switching power converters. In this work, such a filter is manufactured using planar processing technologies. The design is improved and simplified to provide the ability for a cheaper and more compact filter. It is compared and tested with a previous, more complex, design and shown to have similar or improved filtering characteristics. The proposed filter achieves 40 dB attenuation at the first resonant point in the EMI spectrum.
