Abstract :
The continuous line source and the array of isotropic radiators have no practical existence. But they have high theoretical significance. At the same time radiation patterns of the above two differ from each other. The comparative data of the two radiation structures is not available in the literature. In view of this, some studies are made to provide the relative directional characteristics for the same array length and amplitude distribution. The numerically computed results of the two structures are overlapped for comparison. In order to identify the exact difference, some of the results are presented in tabular form.
