Abstract :
Summary form only given. Fabrication of single crystalline metal/insulator magnetic heterostructures is of great technological interest for applications as non-volatile memories, magnetic sensors, or magnetic storage media. Besides, from the fundamental point of view, the availability of epitaxial structures allows a much simpler understanding of many physical properties compared to those of polycrystalline or amorphous systems. The current activities carried out at the IMM within this framework will be described and discussed.
