Virtual factory framework: a key enabler for agile manufacturing

Modeling and analysis play an important role in the successful development and implementation of manufacturing systems. This role is critical for the realization of agile manufacturing systems. The vast range of modeling and analysis tools need to be systematically applied through the manufacturing system development for best results.
