Abstract :
Summary form only given. In magnetic multipole imaging, the spheroidal expansions coefficients (c," , snm ) characterizing the magnetostatic potential are obtained from magnetic measurements made outside the source boundary. These harmonic coefficients, known as the multipole image (MI), encapsulate all the major information of the source and may be used for characterization of magnetic sources.
