Abstract :
The purpose of this study was to compare two available modes for voice recognition. The speaker dependent mode allowed the speaker to record his/her own voice while the speaker independent mode had basic words already recorded and stored on the microcontroller. The study was focused on evaluating the sensitivity of the system while varying the volume and distance of the speaker, as well as the word used. The overall effectiveness was evaluated based on this criteria. The system was developed using Sensory Inc. technology (VR Stamptrade).
