Abstract :
To reflect the geometric characteristics of the model surface accurately and make the sampling data close to the real model curve more, a new effective smoothing treatment method is proposed in the paper. Smoothing treatment using circle ratio method is divided into two parts: initial smoothing and finishing smoothing. Some improvement is made upon the circle ratio method in the fairing processing, which makes the circle ratio method adapt to the broader field and obtain better curve fairness effect. To inspect and verify the validity of the optimized circle ratio method, experiment on some cross-section data of the banana model is carried on and the results show that after the smoothing treatment, some bad points in the sampling data are dealt with markedly. The ideal result can be acquired through smoothing treatment and tool compensation of surface scan tracking measurement sampling data.
