Abstract :
Summary form only given. We report an investigation of the change in field distribution above a sintered Nd/sub 16/Fe/sub 76/B/sub 8/ (atomic%) magnet during the initial magnetisation and demagnetisation processes. A Redcliffe Magtronics "MagScan" system has been employed to measure the x-, y- and z-components of magnetic field at a height of 1 mm above the surface of the magnet, with a resolution of 0.2 mm.
