  • Abstract
    An optical receiver with an integrated equalizer fabricated in 0.6μm BiCMOS technology is presented. The integrated equalizer compensates the bandwidth limitation of the Resonant Cavity Light Emitting Diode (RC-LED), large-area integrated photodiode and Plastic Optical Fibre (POF) link. Free of error transmission (BER=10-9) at data rate of 1Gbit/s is achieved for 50m POF length.
