Model of Change Request Generator Integrated into Business Application

Change must be observed as a basic property of software life cycle. The process of change is initialized with change request. One of the main problems in managing change process is handling change requests specified by customers after software delivery. Customers change requests are usually submitted via developers´ web site. This paper presents new approach where change request is generated at customer side with a help of change request generator. The model of presented change request generator contains three views: model of application that is capable to integrate with change request generator, model of change request generator itself and model of generated change request. Generator specifies change request in XML format and sends it to developers´ site via HTTP.
