Author_Institution :

Abstract :
AT&T utilizes the concept of an integrated product-realization process (PRP) to strengthen its competitive position in the telecommunication industry. Many of AT&T´s business units have developed PRP guidelines as the recommended approach for going through the PRP in the most effective and efficient manner. The PRP guidelines do not attempt to create technical approaches to product realization. Rather, they attempt to improve the execution of the PRP. In this work, the direction AT&T is taking towards improving the execution of the PRP through both compliances with the PRP guidelines and changes in its culture is discussed.<>
