Abstract
The identification of the power coefficient of wind turbines is formulated as a parameter estimation problem for a continuous-time nonlinear system with discretized measurement, whose solution can be obtained using the modified Newton-Raphson method. The performance of the estimation algorithm is verified via simulations based on a model for a 650 kW full-scale research turbine.
