Abstract
An accurate ultra wideband (UWB) localization approach has been developed based on time difference of arrival (TDOA). This method provides sub-cm accuracy, which is excellent for indoor utilization when compared with frequency modulated continuous wave (FMCW) systems. The system is also in compliance with FCC UWB regulations and achieves accurate ranging measurements. The utilized time domain measurements suppress multipath signals and have potential for sub-mm resolution
