Abstract :
A novel approach to determine all the closed-loop parameters of feedback circuits as a function of the Return Ratio (RR) is presented. It allows the extension of the Two-Port method to those analysis where the knowledge of the RR is essential, as occurs for oscillator circuits analysis. The accuracy of this approach is proven by comparing the expressions obtained for the gain, loop gain, input and output impedance with exact solutions determined from Kirchhoff analysis of two well-known shunt-shunt and series-series feedback topology.
