Abstract :
The mathematical and physical models for the three-dimensional fluid and temperature coupling analysis of the stator with multipath ventilation system for large turbine generators were established to study its characteristics of fluid-flow and heat-transfer. Through the calculation of two-dimensional electromagnetic field on generator, the loss distribution of the stator core was obtained, then the control equations of the stator three-dimensional fluid and temperature fields are coupling calculated numerically by using the finite volume method. The model and simulated results are validated by operation data of a QFSN-220-2 turbine generator. The approach presented in this paper can be used to design and profound thermal fault analysis of large turbine generators.
