  • Abstract
    Using silicon photonic wire waveguides we demonstrate highly sensitive and ultra-compact optical circuits for molecular sensing. The high-index-contrast of these structures is exploited to fabricate new folded waveguide geometries beneficial for sensing, as well as optical switching applications.
