Abstract
Fractal-shaped microwave passive circuits offer a great deal of promise for achieving good performance in small circuits. In this paper, right-angled triangular resonator is analyzed, and new dual-band bandpass filters using isosceles right-angled triangular patch resonator are proposed. It shows that with fractal patch defection acts as perturbation, resonator higher order mode is utilized for a dual-passband implementation and filter performance is greatly improved. The proposed filters are some applications of right-angled triangular patch resonator, and have advantages of dual-band operation with simple topology and small size, and which will be useful in RF circuits.
