Abstract :
In this paper, we present a CDMA based TDD media access control (MAC) protocol with IP QoS guarantee - service differentiated hybrid scheduling (SDHS). The MAC frame format of SDHS is variable according to the traffic of uplink and downlink and the traffic of control and data. In addition, we divided the service into two categories, GB (guaranteed bandwidth) and BE (best effort). The different category has the different processing scheme. A control field and the fair scheduling algorithm is adopted for the GB service, and no control field and the thorough max C/I scheduling algorithm is used for BE service. Consequently, the protocol can not only meet the QoS requirement of the GB service but improve the throughput requirement of the BE service.
