Abstract
Size and nature of waste heat from incandescent light bulbs (ILBs) is investigated thoroughly. Impact of lamp placement and relative position of ventilation on the heat transfer from ILBs is also evaluated. In addition to results from a series of experiments and analytical calculations on the significance of useful heat from light bulbs, comparative measurements of incandescent bulb heating and direct electric heating are presented.
