Abstract :
This paper presents an analytical method to minimize the noise with which it is possible to determine the component parameters that mostly affect the phase noise performance for a given class and topology. The typical measured phase noise for 8-12 GHz mutually injection locked VCO is -105 dBc/Hz at 100 kHz offset, and reported topology is amenable for integration in IC form.
