Abstract :
The scope of this work includes a system description of the VXI testbed and its intended usage and a description of problems, concerns, and recommendations to date. A description is also given of the approach being taken to get on line with VXI as quickly as possible. It is shown that the VXI testbed is proving to be a very useful tool. Not only does it provide a vehicle for training personnel in the use of VXI technology, but it provides a real means to evaluate and exercise hardware and software
