            Abstract : 
The authors discuss the object-oriented network management of leased circuit networks with a dynamic channel reconfiguration function. They propose a network configuration based on the synchronous digital hierarchy (SDH). The configuration achieves flexible transmission in the path and section layers of a leased circuit network, resulting in greater simplicity and economy than current procedures. Details of requirements and parameters are given for channel management, and a new system of channel connection units and their concatenators is proposed
