Abstract :
Summary form only given. MnPt/ferromagnet bilayers exhibit a large exchange coefficient J = 0.11 [erg/cm/sup 2/] and a high blocking temperature of T/sub B/ = 380/spl deg/C. Saito et al. have reported that Mn/sub 88/Pt/sub 12//NiFe bilayers prepared by sputtering method show a large exchange bias field without heat treatments. In this study, Mn/sub 1-x/Pt/sub x/ bilayers with Pt concentration around 12 at.% have been prepared by MBE method and their crystal structure and magnetic properties are analyzed in detail.
