Abstract
Based on a rough sets theory and the general control idea, a modeling strategy of rolling horizon scheduling under dynamic processing environment is presented. A rolling horizon scheduling model based on the proposed method is established. The following abrupt events happened are considered in the job scheduling process: 1) the processing completion of one kind of job; 2) the due data changes of jobs; and 3) the coming of urgent jobs and new jobs. Based on these events, the re-selection and re-scheduling of the window jobs are executed once more. The illustration example demonstrates the effectivity of the proposed method. The simulation results show that by the use of the method, not only the dynamic processing environment is adapted, but also the scheduling problem dimension is reduced.
