Abstract :
Cooperative spectrum sensing could significantly improve the sensing performance compared to the single-user spectrum sensing. However, the cost of resources in spectrum sensing will also increase as the number of secondary users in cooperation increases. In this paper, we focus on the optimal number of secondary users in weighted cooperative spectrum sensing considering both the detection probability and resources usage efficiency. Simulation results show that the utility of cognitive radio networks is greatly improved through selecting the optimal number of secondary users in weighted cooperative spectrum sensing.
