Abstract
In a deregulated power market, there is tendency of big generator and consumers to manipulate the market by creating congestion in the system. Congestion relief management (CRM) by congestion relief charge (CRC) is like a ancillary service which, maintains the system in electricity market. Generating company creates gaming for earning more profit by transferring power over ATC limit, which is called gaming profit. If the same amount is imposed as actual congestion relief charge or penalty on Generating Company, suppressing of the gaming is done. In this paper a model has been developed for CRM and CRC which will help in system security, encourage system discipline and discourage gaming condition.
