Abstract
The uneven distribution of energy resources and power load center, as an impetus, is driving China power grid to strengthen its national-wide interconnection to achieve high utilization efficiency. The current situation and planning of China power grid is introduced in this paper. Specific problems considered in planning of national-wide interconnection and their countermeasures are analyzed, such as low frequency oscillation, stability of receiving-end system, and security of multi-infeed HVDC systems etc.
