Abstract :
This paper presents new trends in the dc-ac converters (inverters) used in renewable energy sources, particularly for photovoltaic (PV) energy systems. A review of the existing technologies is performed for both single-phase and three-phase systems, and the pros and cons of the best candidates are investigated. Then, a new control algorithm for a three-phase single-stage boost-inverter system is developed using a similar methodology applied in the so-called space vector PWM technique. Some experimental results are also presented in this paper.
