Abstract
This paper firstly introduces the theory of Hough transform and the principles of stepped frequency radar signal processing, then imports the Hough transform method into the stepped frequency radar range profile detection based on its characteristic in the sample-to-IFFT two dimension plane. The corresponding criterion for determining the threshold is proposed. The performance of target detection based on Hough transform is analyzed through Monte-Carlo simulation runs. Finally, the optimal detection strategy is discussed.
