Abstract :
The classic approach is liquid crystal optical phase delay using a sawtooth phase profile. Other approaches are reviewed and compared, including Continuous Optical Phased Arrays, COPA, Birefringent gratings, writeable lenslets, electro-wetting, Holographic Glass, and MEMS.
