Abstract :
A novel image data compression technique which can be used to transmit or store a sequence of moving digital images is presented. This technique uses second-order geometric transformations to describe changes that occur in the images from one frame to the next. It is also shown how a modular image processing system can be used to implement these operations as both the encoder and decoder in a system. The hardware implementation is described
