Abstract :
Wind capacity is undergoing the fastest rate of growth of any form of electricity generation. The variability of these sources is the main aspect which affects the system security and operation. Considering all these, new tools of analysis are necessary. This paper presents the analysis of large wind farm integration in nowadays power system using stochastic power flow approach and random contingency analysis. The Romanian power system is used as a case study.
