Abstract
A soft-sensor using measurement of temperature distribution along the column to predict the compositions of the distillate and bottom products of the solvent dehydration tower is developed. With the distributed control system and offline measurement of the compositions, a recursive least-squares method is proposed to automatically correlate the relationship between the temperatures and the compositions.
