Abstract
The linearization of the rolling process nonlinear model and the calculation for the sensitivity factors of the linear model obtained by the differential of the rolling force model based on support vector machine were presented. The proposed controller was characterized of the exit thickness predicted by the rolling process linear model based on sensitivity in place of the virtual exit thickness measured by the sensor with the disadvantages of the time delay. The comparisons of simulation results show that the proposed controller has a better control performance and higher precision than the general feedback controller, and it can meet the application demands.
