Abstract :
Summary form only given. Lanthanum strontium doped manganites have attracted renewed attention at present due to the observation of interesting electrical and magnetic properties such as a colossal negative magnetoresistance, catalytic activity, field-sensing, among others. Several preparation methods are described in the literature concerning the so-called wet-chemical routes. This work describes a nanoparticle La/sub 1-x/Sr/sub x/MnO/sub 3/ (x = 0.1, 0.2 and 0.3) synthesis by the homogenous coprecipitation method using urea as precipitant agent. The samples were characterized by X-ray powder diffraction, transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and electrical resistivity as a function of temperature.
