Abstract :
A remote pressure detection and transmission system for explosion prevention was introduced. In this system, the displacement of a membrane was measured accurately by the optical-fiber heterodyne detection method, and the pressure variation was derived from the displacement. The whole system works under the control of an intelligence module. The resolution for the pressure measurement is 5.4 Pa, and the uncertainty value is less than 11.2 Pa. This system can be extensively used in the pressure detection and transmission in the production, storage and transportation processes in the petroleum and chemical industries.
