Abstract :
A novel smart antennas algorithm that named the adaptive feedback smart antennas (AFSA) for cdma2000 1xEV-DV systems is proposed. The algorithm is based on the reverse channel quality indicator channel (R-CQICH) C/I feedback which is measured at the mobile station and the adaptive searching and tracking of the smart antennas at the base station. The smart antennas use the N-LMS adaptive algorithm to get the initial direction of the desired user in the uplink signal processing. The smart antennas search and track the particular subscriber according to the C/I feedback via the R-CQICH in the downlink. The simulation of the algorithm is performed to compare with the analysis. It is shown that the Ec/Io to the desired subscriber can be improved obviously and the intracell interference can be decreased efficiently.
