Abstract
The design and implementation of a 28 GHz radio distribution point demonstrator system are described. The unit was fed remotely by 10 km of optical fiber, using the subcarrier multiplexing technique. It carried both analog FM video and 8 Mb/s duplex data to demonstrate the flexible delivery of a mix of services. Some practical aspects and limitations of the system, which has operated continuously within specification since April 1991, are outlined. Potential area for future improvement are identified
