Abstract :
Referring to the geometrically based single bounce (GBSB) model, a new geo-propagation model is proposed to predict the delay spread as well as the direction-of-arrival of multipath components in channels for high altitude platform station (HAPS) communications. Furthermore, an approach to calculate the probability of existence of single bounce paths caused by building blockages is given. By using the model, numerical simulation gives the power delay profile and the joint time-angle spread of the HAPS channels.
